CCC President, Anne Shevlin, has requested assistance in obtaining signatures for a petition related to tolling on I-5 and I-205.
She writes:
“As you are aware, the issue of tolling I-5 and I-205 is an issue of high concern to our Charbonneau residents. A petition, known as IP-4 has been created by a concerned West Linn citizen that, if enough signatures are obtained, would cause the issue of tolling to be put to a vote on the ballot in the November, 2024 general election. The deadline is June 1, 2024 to obtain enough signatures. Learn more about the petition here: Vote Before Tolls – IP-4 requires a vote before Oregon tolls.”
Anne is seeking residents in all Charbonneau HOAs “who would be interested in obtaining signatures on the petition. This would require them to either attend meetings or gatherings where other residents get together in your neighborhoods, and/or go door to door to obtain signatures.”
CCC Board Director Glenn Lancaster, a resident of the Country Club Estates neighborhood, has already been doing this in his area. To help with the logistics of volunteering, Glenn has asked the HOA board presidents to solicit folks to volunteer. He will meet with volunteers to help them obtain the petition and explain the details of collecting signatures.
If you are interested in volunteering to collect signatures from CHOA residents, please contact Glenn directly. Please also let me know if you volunteer so I can keep track of CHOA’s participation. You can find our contact information in the CCC directory.
