Poker table/dining room table for Free

Large Poker table with a removal top that can be turned over to become a poker table

for Free

At the Rec Hall there is a Large wood table and 4 chairs that we would like to find a loving home for.

The table can be used as a dining room table or if you flip the top over it becomes a poker table.  Because the Rec Hall is a multi use area a large wood table that can not be folded up is not practical anymore.

We are willing to let the table go to a loving home for Free if someone is willing to come and take it.  You would need a pick up trunk and some strong lifters.

We need to get the table out of the Rec Hall (8298 SW Lafayette) by the end of Sunday 2/17.  Please contact Jan Landis at 503-550-7264.  Please leave a message and someone will get back to you.

Please note that Rec Hall C (pictured above) will be closed to any new events until the new Kitchen is complete.  We are making good progress and anticipate to be back open by February 23rd.

Please note that the tile Installation for the Foyer and Kitchen area will be done 1/23 through 1/25.  Current classes will not be able to be held there because the front Foyer will be blocked.

In addition, the Cabinets are expected to start installation on 1/28.

Both the Tile Contractor and the Cabinet Contractor’s vehicles will be using the parking slots so there will/may be limited guest parking.

Thank you for your patience during the upgrade to this great CHOA resource.

Gutter cleaning has began!

Please note that CHOA contractor Dave Stone has started the gutter cleaning process in CHOA.  He started a couple of weeks ago and should be complete by the end of February.  When complete, he will attach a notice to your door– [gview file=”https://choaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/door-hangers.pdf”]

Please contact Steve Chinn with any questions – 503-312-0927 or schinno@gmail.com

Bark Dust used for Moss and Weed Control

Please note that CHOA landscaping will soon implement a moss and weed control program.  We will begin in January (weather permitting) by spraying the moss that is growing in the planting areas along our street front properties. Then in mid to late January, once the spray has had time to work, we will spread bark dust on the planting areas between the street and your courtyards. We will not be going along the paths that run beside your yards.  We hope to be able to repeat this program next year for the planting areas on the golf course side.

If you don’t wish to have bark spread in your yard, please let us know.
