Red Course Open for neighbors to use

Please note that the Red Golf Course- the one that surrounds CHOA – is closed for golfing for the season and now open to neighbors to use.

This is nice feature to have in our neighborhood but there are a few rules:

+ Please stay on the paths

+ Please stay off of the Greens

+ Please clean-up after your dogs

Please note that the Golf team will not be maintaining the paths, so they may get a little slippery/leafy/dirty.

Alarm Monitoring transition plan

As you know, the CHOA CCRS were recently changed to eliminate CHOA paying the alarm monitoring of homes, in our HOA, through Wilsonville Lock & Security. This transition will take place January 31st, 2022.

Wilsonville Lock & Security will be contacting you to set up direct billing if you are choosing to continue your security monitoring service through them. You are also welcome to contact Ashton at manager@wilsonvillesecurity.com or 503-682-2323 to transfer your monitoring service and/or ask any questions you might have.

Wilsonville Lock & Security has been a long time supplier to CHOA and we appreciate their support.

CHOA Ballot Results

Thanks to our Neighbors for taking the time from your busy schedules to participate in the voting for the two Ballot measures as proposed by your Board.   Over 90% of residences voted.

Final results as noted:

Paint Trust Amendment– 208 total votes- 193 Yes Votes, 15 No Votes Amendment Passes

Alarm Monitoring Amendment– 208 total votes- 180 Yes Votes, 28 No Votes Amendment Passes

20 residences did not Vote

Please note that the Board will provide further details on the implementation of both of these Amendments within the next 30 days.

Please note that suspicious people were reported in and around Charbonneau late Friday night and early Saturday morning. If you saw anything or had a theft, please report it to the Wilsonville police 503-682-1012 and Charbonneau Country Club 503-694-2300.

Reminder- Ballots due for CHOA Measures Monday, Oct 25th by 6:00 pm

As you know, the Board of CHOA has proposed two changes to our CCRs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions).  One is for a change to the Paint Trust and the other for the Alarm System Monitoring.  Each Household was mailed the details of these proposals along with a letter from the Board explaining the rationale behind the recommendations.

Each household got Ballot in the Mail for your vote.  We encourage everyone to Vote for these measures.  If you lost or misplaced your Ballot, please let us know and we can provide you with another one. Please drop in the CHOA Drop Box on the corner of Boones Bend and Fairway Drive by Monday at 6:00 pm Please note that we want to hear from you and need your response. We have been seeing increased crime in Charbonneau over the last week. This includes garage break-ins and car thefts. The staff has been working with Wilsonville police and First Response on increased patrols. If you see any suspicious activity or have a break-in let the office know; every tip can help.  Please read this important message from Rob Wurpes, Wilsonville Chief of Police:

GET READY TO SHAKE OUT AND WIN!!

YOU can win 2 Emergency Lights for your home by taking part in the Great Oregon ShakeOut drill! Millions of people worldwide will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:21 a.m. on 10/21/21. You will be getting a Flyer with a HELP/OK sign with a double raffle ticket attached. Fill out your name and phone number, keep the other side of the ticket and on SHAKE OUT DAY place the HELP/OK sign on your garage door with the ticket attached.

How do YOU participate? On Thursday, October 21, set your alarm for 10:21am and when it goes off:

DROP – TO YOUR HANDS AND KNEES, PREFERABLY UNDER SOMETHING STURDY

COVER – THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD & NECK WITH ONE ARM

HOLD ON – IN CASE THE THING YOU ARE UNDER MOVES

WHAT TO DO NEXT?

  1. Check on everyone in your home, are they OK?
  2. Protect your head, feet & hands from broken glass & fallen debris. Time to check on where your hard hat, work gloves and sturdy shoes are stored!
  3. Make sure you know where your gas meter is and how to turn it off, if necessary.
  4. Make sure you know where the main water shut off to your home is located and how to turn it off.
  5. Place your HELP/OK sign with raffle ticket where it can be seen.
  6. Put your fire extinguisher at the end of your driveway.
  7. Then shelter in place.

Your Emergency Preparedness Team will come by to see if you participated in the drill by placing your HELP/OK sign. They will collect your raffle ticket from the signand enter it in the raffle for your HOA. Each HOA will have prizes to award.
